Why Volunteer?
Kendall Park Volunteer fire Company has been serving South Brunswick and Kendall Park since 1967. We would like to continue this tradition, and with volunteers like yourself, together we can protect our community from fire.
Firefighting is not like any job you've ever had. It is not for everyone. However, if you think you have what it takes, or would like to try, we would like to hear from you.
People join for many reasons, some of which include family tradition, personal fire related experience, a new challenge, to serve or give back to their community, or comradery with fellow firefighters. Take time to think about why your considering becoming a firefighter, as you will be asked why you wish to join during the applicant interview. It is important the officers of the Company understand your motivation and what your goals and interests are. As officers of the company, they can help you achieve and satisify your goals by utilizing your skills within the department.

Requirements
- At least 18 years of age. (Individuals between the ages is 16 and 18 may become Junior Members).
- Enroll in and complete an approved firefighter school and the training necessary by Federal, State and Local law.
- Pass a routine background and criminalcheck.
- Pass a physical perfonned by the Company's physician. (At no expense to applicant).
- Able to volunteer at least the minimumrequired time necessary to be an active member.
- Have a valid NJ drivers license. (Except Junior Members).
- High School Diploma or GED. (Except Junior Members).
