pThe Kendall Park Volunteer Fire Company responded to a carbon monoxide detector activation called in by the homeowner. Chief 220 who was already on scene recorded high levels of carbon monoxide immediately upon entering the residence. Upon arrival of Engine 221 the crew donned their SCBAs and entered the home to investigate upon investigation Engine 221rsquos crew had carbon monoxide readings as high as 180 parts per million PPM throughout the residence. Carbon Monoxide levels that are that high are extremely lethal. Crews began narrowing down the cause of the carbon monoxide which was later confirmed by PSEampG. Engine 221rsquos crew ventilated the home and cleared the scene turning it over to PSEampG. This is a great example of why every home should be equipped with working carbon monoxide and smoke detectors as without them this call may have turned out very different.p
